With bacteria and hospital bed thrive in health centers, cleaning and disinfection of bedding is essential to halting the spread of these organisms. Specific guidelines must be followed to ensure cross contamination does not occur. With careful management and procedures, hospital bed sheets can be properly cleaned and disinfected for the safety of medical bed.

Put on protective eye, hand and facewear to reduce exposure to dangerous pathogens.
Remove large pieces of debris, sheets and have them in a bio-hazard container frame.
Roll up the leaves and wash with a half cup of bleach and a strong IV pole detergent. The water temperature must reach at least 130 degrees Fahrenheit (54 degrees Celsius). This will help kill germs and bacteria in the hospital bed sheets.
Place clean sheets in a dryer and adjust the temperature to the highest position.
